(Dublin, Ohio) — The City of Dublin is pleased to announce the selection of Asch and Kate Mikhail as the 2024 Grand Leprechauns. Former City of Dublin Grand Leprechauns, former Mayor Jane Fox and City Manager Megan O’Callaghan selected the Mikhails in recognition of their generosity and continuous efforts supporting numerous Dublin-based organizations and schools over the years. In this role, the Mikhails will lead the City of Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 9.
In 2005, Asch and Kate made Dublin their home so their three children could attend Dublin City Schools. Ava, currently a junior at Dublin Scioto High School; Lexi, a graduate of Dublin Scioto and The Ohio State University; and Joel, a successful adult who is not defined by his Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome and works as head of maintenance at Sunny Street Café.
Together, Asch and Kate opened Sunny Street Café on Hospital Drive in 2010 with the goal of giving back to the Dublin community that they love. Sunny Street Café supports school fundraisers, local charities, church organizations and other small businesses.
Asch and Kate are committed to serving and supporting the Dublin community in various ways. Asch is a current Dublin A.M. Rotary and Dublin Chamber Board member. He also supports the Dublin Scioto Lacrosse Boosters as treasurer. Asch is a past president of the Dublin Food Pantry Board and a former member of the Dublin City Schools Business Advisory Council. Kate is a 2016 Make-A-Wish: W.I.S.H (Women Inspiring Strength and Hope) Honoree. She successfully raised over $9,500, helping her “wish child” and had excess to help another child’s wish come true. Kate currently serves as Treasurer of the Dublin Scioto Tennis Boosters.

The City of Dublin will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Greenest, Grandest Parade on Saturday, March 9. Dublin’s Irish attitude will be on display as more than 100 participants travel from Metro Place through Historic Dublin. After the parade, enjoy Irish entertainment at Dublin’s restaurants and pubs.
